I've just repacked my bag and my camera bag ready for tomorrow's flight to Buenos Aires! My Lowepre is bulging at the seams with Nikon D700 and Fuji S5 DSLR's plus a Canon G7 and Lumix TZ10 and a million lensy things.
Peter Lambert, my ilustrious co-leader and master-organiser has checked into his Holiday Inn Hotel at the airport anwhile the ever-patient Marg and I are nestled in the BreakFre Apartments in Chinatown in downtown Sydney. Jo Payne just called from Sydney Airport to tell us the Eagle had landed. Yes, we all feel just a bit excited.
With fifteen photographers on board we're heading off for 23 days in Argentina, Peru and Bolivia. I lashed out today and bought a new pair of Salomon walking boots from Mountain Designs in Sydney. Holy Moley - the thing I liked best was the kevlar shoelaces! I wonder how many salmon I'll catch with these boots.
Argentina, don't cry for me, I'm on my way!
